Intermediate-level students are in a level they are able to understand the main points of readings written in clear, familiar, standard language. These readings can be related to vacation, transportation, inventions, gadgets, and the environment. Additionally, at this level, learners are able to communicate effectively while traveling in countries that use the target language, furthermore, they are able to write simple, coherent essays about familiar topics, personal interest, experiences, events, and desires, and finally, they are able to justify their opinions (i.e.by giving simple, brief reasons) and explain their future plans. On this level, the students engage activities in each lesson, which is designed to stimulate students to share their ideas, opinions, and experiences. The topics are practical and interesting, the kinds of topics that students want to talk about in any language, and the activities are realistic, motivating, and challenging. This level includes more models and useful language in and outside the classroom as well as a more systematic presentation and recycling of structures and vocabulary.
